Okay, first things first: Lightning Hornet is pretty freaking badass. Digging both the suit itself and the way it works in combat. We haven't gotten a lot of Valkyrie so far, but I'm really enjoying her when she show up.

Second, I really like how the show has been dealing with the ethics of HumaGears in these last couple episodes. It's not perfect - I think last week's episode misfired by focusing more on the "oh, poor artist, you've lost your passion" rather than "you're literally working your robots to death, you scumbag" - but it's neat to see them tackling some of the issues that would come with fully humanoid AIs. The whole concept of a co-opted likeness and using the HumaGear to replace a dead loved one is definitely an interesting storyline to tackle.

If there's any part of the episode that didn't work for me it's Jin's family angst. The whole parent/child confusion was an interesting place to take the character, but we don't know enough about Jin, Horobi, or their interpersonal dynamic yet to really make it work. I would have held off on going in this direction for awhile, I think. Still, I'm guessing we're seeing the show planting seeds for Jin doing a faceturn at some point.
