This is such an unexpectedly cruel exit for Gaisorg. It's also lazy, lazy writing. Why go through all the trouble introducing Nada, having him be a major focus for 8 episodes, redeeming him and joining the team only to kill him in the very next episode? And to do it in such a tropey manner too.

The actual direction of the episode was good. The death scene was surprisingly quite subtle. The music was more atmospheric and I loved that they dulled the sound to make it more tranquil despite the violence on display. But it would have been much more impactful had they been patient and had Nada actually do something as a team member. Right now it feels like they just wanted to write him out as soon as possible.

And Max Ryusoul Red looks amazing but the debut is cheapened by two fairly large points. Firstly, Koh got HieHie Soul two episodes ago. Secondly, it feels as if Nada's whole character arc - his life and death, so to speak - was all for the purpose of giving red an upgrade form, which is gross. Kind of diminishes the value of his arc and also spits in the face of the point of his character - that being the chosen one doesn't matter. Anyone can be a Ryusoulger if they put the effort. But he died to literally become a power up for red, the chosen one. So yeah, fuck this.
