Those figures has a vest that does over a standard torso(you can remove it if you pop the arms off). That would have been perfect here to get that overhang.
It also clear the paint job on the SHF is superior to the LC. At $20, obviously there will be trade offs but Hasbro can do better.
Then there are joints. After getting a few, I think the Figuarts have better knees.
Though I prefer the scale of the LC and overall body. It's like if Hasbro did a few tweaks and got QC, they could easily overtake the SHF. The real next level is a full covering to hide the joints.
Not to toot my own horn but yeah with the unique weapons, the figures do get elevated.
Oh, I'd certainly agree -- there's many areas where the SHF is naturally just better. The higher quantity and quality of the accessories of course being one of them; and there are multiple places on the figure that are superior - the chest details look a lot cleaner, and as you've pointed out you get a lot more out of the knees. But on the whole, the LC looks superior to me in general sculpt and proportions; and very importantly the helmet looks a LOT better and cleaner. I'm certainly willing to trade off slightly better articulation and higher quality in the accessories if the figure itself looks much better, and is at a much lower price point.
