This is How The End Began

The park was almost completely deserted. But could you blame everyone for staying home even this close to Christmas? In the past seven days there had been an attack almost every day. He'd stopped each one, of course. But you never knew when another Thing was going to just appear and start hurting people. Nathan, now you came out here to relax remember.
Least the snow looked pretty, he thought. Right up until he heard another woman scream. Sighing quietly the Decade Driver snapped effortlessly around his waist. And Nathan took off running towards the sound. "Come on... be someone playing a prank.. or a mugging. A simple non-monster mugging, come on come on come on mugging.." But when he rounded the next path..

KAMEN RIDE.... DECADE!

Dropping onto his knees, leaning himself back, Decade grunted skidding on his knees along the sidewalk. Watching as the thrown bench passed just inches from his helmet. Okay.. there went his Mugger Theory. But Decade was already forming Booker into Gun Mode, so when he sat himself upright again all he had to do was aim and.. Get kicked!
Decade was launched backward from the massive horses kick. Sending him rolling along the walk, with his Booker skidding off into the bush. "Alright... I can admit that hurt.." Pushing himself up with his hands, Decade shook his head clear. And turned to look at what the heck just kicked him upside the head.. Horse Orphnoch!
The beast wasn't letting him catch his breath for long though. Already charging in his Beast Form, Decade rolled himself forward towards where he thought his Booker skidded. Missing the hooves of the animal by only a single second. Where is it?! Nathan scoured the bushes, searching, pulling open branches. Throwing aside clumps of moss, anywhere he could think of where his Booker might've skidded.
Horse was hunting himself. Snorting rough, rearing himself up and bringing those powerful hooves down onto the nearby bush. Crushing them under his immense weight in a search for Decade. He needed his Booker! The horse was close though. Directly above him, rearing his hooves up for another strike.. as Decade found the booker! Rolling himself out of the way as those mighty hooves fell, Decade grabbed his Booker and ran for the open field behind the Horse.

KAMEN RIDE.... METEOR!

Decade slammed the Driver closed.. and then became very confused. "What the... Hey! I put in the Faiz card not Meteor!" Growling, Nathan punched the Driver. But before he could grab another card from the Booker Horse Orphnoch was already charging, there wasn't any time! Fine, he thought. The Driver wants him to be Meteor.. he could handle this has Meteor. All he had to do was remember what Ryuusei taught him about Jeet Kune Do.. Easy, riiiiiight.
Meteor Decade loosened himself up, taking the bouncing stance Ryuusei showed him. "Wooo... Wacha!" Horse charged, and Decade roundhouse kicked him against his armored head. Turning himself Meteor Decade watched as Horse skidded off. But he shook off the kick quicker than he would've liked.. "Nothing can ever be easy.."

JUPITER READY! LIMIT BREAK!

Forming the Planet on his hand, Decade laid his other across the underside. Readying himself, forcing himself to stay still as Horse charged again. Sword in hand ready to take Decade's heart.. He knew how this Orphnoc operated. But he was ready. Knowing moving to early would mean he was going to die here.. Forcing himself to stay perfectly still, focusing on the rampaging Horse..
A few more heartbeats and Horse was looming over him, hand back to strike with his sword but he hesitated. Because beneath him Meteor struck! Driving the planet into his stomach, growling as he applied more and more pressure. "Don't know why you're here.. and I don't care... just go back wherever it is you came from!"

The explosion taught Nathan two things. First was he could use Meteor's powers without much of an issue, the second was never stand that close to an exploded Orphnoc again. The detonation sent him hurtling back into the nearby woods where a lovely oak tree had broken his fall. And almost his back. Shaking his head clear, he pushed himself up from the ground where he landed and held his Driver.
".. You and I are going to have a long talk about who's in charge, Decade Driver."

Nathan wasn't as alone as he thought in those woods. There was someone behind him, watching from the shadow and staying completely out of sight. "Sir, I've made contact. The operation succeeded, Horse provided an excellent distraction. . . . Yes sir, I'll remain covertly watching his movements. No sir. Horse is still alive . . . Behind me, sir. Yes sir, I understand. The situation will be dealt with."
The young woman turned enough to watch the defeated horse laying on his side just behind her. His chest was heaving heavily, he might even recover. But orders were orders. Her hands reached for her jacket, opening her full-length coat and exposing white Driver.. A mirror image of Decade. "Don't worry, Horse. He is very proud of you."

KAMEN RIDE... CENTURY!

The destruction of the Orphnoc was quiet. The only sign were the birds that took from the trees as the muffled shot echoed through the wood. And returning to normal the young woman, this Century, simply turned and began walking through the woods after Nathan. Leaving the now deceased man who was once Horse to be lost.
