I live and own a business in Chicago, which is not exactly a small town. If 50-200 people were being murdered by monsters every single week for a year, I would at least consider relocating to the suburbs. Like, it's nice to be able to walk more in my neighborhood, but I'll consider driving around Downers Grove if there is a significantly lower chance of being monster-murdered. It's a trade-off, for sure, but I think it's a reasonable one.

And, like, look. I'm not super mad that a kids' sci-fi monster show from 2000 didn't delve into the way citizenry acclimates to terror. That's a difficult theme, and maybe one a 20-minute tokusatsu show shouldn't try to tackle. I mostly think it's funny how insanely deadly the Grongi are, how dissimilar that is to the Phase II Heisei "we have to save this one person who's in trouble this week" storytelling, and how kind-of pathetic it makes the Task Force look. (They let 90 teenagers die! From one school! In one week!)

For Gaim, like, didn't they launch nukes when they thought Helheim was invading? I'm not suggesting Tokyo needs to be obliterated (although someone's Rider Kick I guess disagreed), but just leaving a rapidly-escalating body count to the Metro Police... seems like they aren't taking this too serious! Seems like I shouldn't then, either!
