Can you please provide examples of 1:12 action figures featuring the new elbow joint system?
I'm very interested to see how the manufacturer tackle this fragility issue.

Bruh, I NEVER stated nor implied in any of my posts that "every figure ever to use this joint design are doomed to fail".
What I have NEVER stated nor implied:
- "If you so much as look at the elbows they'll break!"
- "Literally decrying the SHF line as doomed over one bad release, like Bandai haven’t been making these figures for years."
- "The simple fact that some broke, therefore all must break forever into the future."
- "Bandai will intentionally release time bombs going forward with no regard to feedback or reports of breakage."
- "Every figure ever to use this joint design are doomed to fail."
- "Every single OOO figure would have that problem."
- Manufacturing or material defects have no part on this breakage issue.
What I have stated or implied:
This breakage issue is
probabilistic issue
.
Figures using
the new joint system
will have
higher rate of failure
. My main focus here is not the typical crack-type of failure, but the most extreme one, the nasty one, the catastrophic failure, the systemic collapse:
LIMB DISMEMBERMENT
.
Here's my line of reasoning:
NEW JOINT SYSTEM
=
SPLITTING THE OLD JOINT SYSTEM INTO 2 SMALLER COMPONENTS
=
SMALLER COMPONENT SIZE & HIGHER COMPLEXITY
=
REDUCTION IN STRENGTH
=
HIGHER FRAGILITY
=
HIGHER PROBABILITY OF SYSTEMIC FAILURE
And then I ask myself these questions:
1. Does a 2,5mm plastic rod have the strength of 50% of a 5mm plastic rod?
2. If in a parallel universe the SHF SS OO used the old joint system and had a failure rate of, say, 0,01%, would the failure rate of the new joint system be lower or higher than 0,01%?
It would be a
very very bad exercise of prudence
on my part if I answer those 2 questions with "yes" and "lower".
To those asking about the pro-contra, cost-benefit analysis, risk/reward ratio, upsidedownside, etc of the new joint system, my conclusion is best described by this question:
"Will you bet your entire fortune for a chance to win a Rider bike?"

one
release with these new elbows so far.
THAT
is precisely THE purpose of my posting my conclusion on this forum. If it turn out that SHF SS Den-O and SHF SS Gatakiriba will be released with the old joint system, then I will Clock Up and grab them ASAP.

Awww, c'mon man...
Me shouting down at everyone who disagrees with me?
I'm just a random faceless person posting his opinion in the form of text on this forum, not politician shouting his next disastrous policy at your ears.
Several other people have disagreed with me and none of them resorted to ad hominem attacks.
Or perhaps would you rather see me agreeing on everything on this forum?
Well, it's not that I can stop you from doing what you will do.
