Given how quickly the backlash from the other power-up forms got brushed aside (I still hope they'll be brought back up later but I'm not holding my breath), that does sound pretty likely.

Alternately, it could be like Hazard or Dead Heat where at first, Aruto remains in control, but then as the fight goes on there's a growing risk of going berserk.
