how about we stop bickering to each other about it?
No doubt that
Bandai is gonna push this type of joint into later SS figures
like Den-O and OOO
unless we actually let them know
or
they realize it themselves
.
Now, how about we come together and
try to find a solution
for this in the waking moment that ur Hino Eiji had his elbow dislodge into orbit.
What if Bandai does fail to realize the issue?
What if Bandai actually realized and somehow forgot the issue?
What if there is someone at Bandai who actually warned of the issue
and somehow his warning got lost
in the sea of big corporation communication channel?
What if consumers "bickering" on online forums,
is the most feasible way to let Bandai be aware of the issue?
A consumer trying to find a solution to this issue
is a noble consumer.
Yet don't let it be your only choice.
The better, and the best solution, is solving the problem upstream.
Of course,
I consider all my "bullshit" here to be pointless
once a third party company rises to the challenge
and pick up Bandai's slack.
Oh, and BTW I've never owned the SHF SS OOO.
Several of my friends have.

The scope of the issue is not just limited to Kamen Rider.
you're saying that because these "new joints" are more complex, they are more prone to breakage.
But you acknowledge that the "Fighting Body" Figuarts line also has complex elbows joints
similar
to the SHF SS OOO's line.
While they're not the exact same system, you say in your posts,
HERE
that
adding complexity makes the joints weaker
.
I think there's a slight missed nuances
in your understanding of my points.
Adding complexity DOES make the joints weaker,
thus more prone to breakage.
And weaker joints, thus broken joints,
do NOT necessarily result in mutilated limbs,
like my own experience of having broken left elbow joint on SHF KR Scissors
and cracked right knee joint on SHF KR Odin,
both only resulted in slight reduction in friction.
The Fighting Body figures have complex elbow joint system
with mechanism
similar
to the one on SHF SS OOO,
and it survived longer than its younger sibling.
So, can we apply the same conclusion we achieve on the Fighting Body figures
to the SHF SS OOO?
Professor Snape would say:
"Not... so fast, Potter."
How come?
The answer is in the old adage:
"The devil is in the details."
As my previous post stated:
They are the obvious details you'll see, if you dig deeper.
Deceptively obvious.

the worst possible situation that could ever happen to ANY figure... is it breaking

Duuude!
Of course I know about that point!
The mightiest force of the nature, TIME,
WILL destroy everything. EVERYTHING.
SHF SS OOO with the new joint system,
SHF SS OOO with the old joint system,
vintage 5 point Kenner Star Wars figures,
my sofubi figures,
my car,
my body,
the Earth,
Milky Way,
Donald Trump,
even the universe itself.
That kind of all-or-nothing, black-and-white thinking
was NEVER my point.

If you don't like them because you view them as structurally weak, that's fine and you can let it be known, as this IS a discussion thread.
Just stop with this "TOTAL STRUCTURAL FAILURE" fear mongering.
Telling me to
'just stop with this TOTAL STRUCTURAL FAILURE "fear mongering"'
is like telling me to
stop warning a car company of high probability of accidents
caused by their faulty brake system.
I'm truly truly sorry.
My ethical standards do not allow me to do that.
