I didn't think Godzilla: King of the Monsters was a bad film. It wasn't great but it's definitely not worst movie territory.

I've encountered a review of the Sonic the Hedgehog movie yesterday and the reviewer loved the film. Take it with a grain of salt, but it does appear to be a film that actually tried to be faithful to the franchise instead of being a half-assed family film. Still a family film since it's for a general audience, but isn't an Alvin and the Chipmunks or Smurfs style film. It's more like a buddy cop film with Sonic lore thrown in and one of the buddy "cop" happens to be Sonic, who is the Sonic we know and love from the games and tv shows. So again take it with a grain of salt and go in with an open mind. That's what I plan to do, as I really can't see them dropping an additional $90 million to fix Sonic's appearance on a half-assed family flick. They would have cut their losses and released it as is if that were the case.
