My point still stands. He's a good actor. Just as Robert Pattinson is. Batman & Robin was made to sell merchandise to pre-teen boys, much like how the Twilight films were made to sell merchandise and books to teenage girls. You have a case where two franchises picked two talented actors to play roles that were written terribly and somehow made it out relatively unscathed. Now it's come full circle as Batman has proved itself to be a serious viable franchise that can win awards and is now going for a talented actor who was in a franchise that suffered similarly to Batman & Robin.
