I think of her in those instances like a cornerman for a boxer. She's there to let him know when to start a fight, and maybe when to stop it. She's there to help him afterwards, to cheer him on during. She's there to, honestly, just be there outside the mirror.

Sure, true, but I meant it more in the way that I'd be cooler with Ryuki telling Knight how best to fight than I would be with Shinji telling Yui to stay away from Ren. It's, when it's people in the scene, I feel weird about it.
