I didn't realize that the manga was written by Umika's friend, though. That's a neat shout out. I think it's rather cute that they're sprinkling these references in. Lemme guess. They'll stumble across a new crystal that actually happens to be a Lai Lai Jewel from Dairanger?

Anyway, as for the episode itself, it was...Average, again. The inspiration line is starting to get a little grating. I'm hoping once we introduce Kiramaizin next episode, it won't appear as often. Granted, since I'm not keeping up with the toys beyond the two upcoming auxiliary vehicles, I don't know how often to expect it. At least it's followed by something happening, though.

I liked the plot of the episode, and I always enjoy tension in a team, I just wish it could've been handled better. Yellow is shitting on Red nonstop, even when Sena is at fault, so it seemed kind of unfair they made it his dilemma, only to win out in the end by having the real Sena be able to have her cake and eat it.
Oh well.
