If memory serves, for the train car scenes, Reiko looks away for 1-3 seconds and everyone is gone. That's one monster grabbing a few dozen people so fast they can't even scream. I don't think it fits the monster M.O. we've been seeing everywhere else on the show. Most of 'em struggle to grab one person without alerting anyone, and this monster grabbed dozens, multiple times.
