RKF Kamen Rider Valkyrie, Build Hazard Kaizoku Ressha, Geiz Revive Shippu



The RKF line is decent, but painting them really takes them to the next level. For some figures, the lack of paint is truly astounding. But if you're willing to go the extra steps, the end result is satisfying. You might have noticed that these 3 figures are Premium Bandai equivalent in SH Figuarts costing upwards of $120 each.

I believe Valkyrie is the first female rider in the RKF line. She is really easy to spruce up, with just a Gundam panel liner marker to fill in all the black spots and lines. Some black paint on the shot riser makes a huge difference.

Build Hazard is almost entirely straight black. You get alternative head pieces to make up for it, but out of the box, he almost looks like a batman or ninja figure. Again, details to the belt make it look great. Up until recently, the SH Figuarts version of Build Hazard couldn't be made into Kaizoku Ressha (my favorite version!). So RKF came through again!

Geiz Revive is the most interesting. The SH Figuarts version doesn't actually transform. Instead it parts form- looking a little more show accurate, but how cool is it that the RKF can do the actual transformation with the armor? I repainted a lot of black parts into a gunmetal silver (knee caps and exterior of armor). To top it all off, I printed the Ziku Driver graphics onto transparent paper and glued them to the belt. Who needs Figuarts now?!
