They have some similarities, sure, but the two shows have entirely different goals and structure(and even tone when it comes to Super Samurai). Of course it's not. Much as I hate Neo-Saban season, at least they tend to have a plot and characters have arcs. Remember MMPR was completely one dimensional, that is why people love the Green saga so much, because it gave the show layers.

Compare to say, Tyler's' relationship with his dad in Dino Charge, wherein not only is the twist obvious and not given much fanfare, but Tyler's' dad proves himself to be an out and out terrible father afterward, making me wish he'd just stayed gone.

Crap I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually remembered that scene. See, a lot of Neo-Saban stuff has great ideas on paper, it's just the execution and meddling that holds them back. Like, Ninja Steel, the actual Ranger stuff can be intriguing, but then there' s always this need of preaching in an obvious way and then immediately shifts the sporlight to the comedic duo. It's stuff like that that I couldn't stand.

Even in Beast Morphers, I was actually enjoying the series, but whenever they shifted to Ben and Betty, that hatred came back.

Don't get me wrong, comic reliefs are essential, but they need to be natural. Like Cassidy and Devin, or Piggy.

Idk man. I still love the concept of Power Rangers, but I really want to be able to fully enjoy the current series again. It's just right now I bitched extra because of the fear that RyuSoulger is going to be the same, instead of a drastic change that's seen in Ninja Storm, in a good way of course.
