Definitely not. As weird as it is, the series goes out of its way at several points to show the color changing is accomplished simply by pressing some buttons on the bikes. Ichijou even flips the setting on the BeatChaser before Yuusuke gets on it.

Not in the slightest. Just another one of those fun quirks of how the show is written. It wouldn't have been hard to have a scene where Sakurako finds some old text that says the names or something, but it's way more fitting for the casual atmosphere of Kuuga for them to exclusively be "the red one" or "the green one". It's like, why would Yuusuke or anyone else really care, you know?

It doesn't come up much since he has little reason to use them for very long anyway, but there is actually a limit on how long Yuusuke can maintain the extra power of the Rising forms.
