Yuusuke's seriously had some notable teachers in his life. I wonder if Hongou ever gave him that same speech about the preciousness of life from the Rider 1 movie?

I think the idea is that the Linto were just living totally peacefully until the Grongi showed up one day. I'm pretty sure they would've had a concept of what violence is, but that specific idea, a "warrior", someone who exists for the sole purpose of fighting, wasn't something that existed in their own culture. If the Grongi were the ones who introduced that idea to them, it makes sense they would borrow a symbol of theirs to represent it in writing.

There's room for debate there! In that particular scene, it wasn't really an option for Yuusuke, since the Rising forms are pretty strictly for finishing off Grongi, and blowing up Gooma with Ichijou standing right there would be a bad idea. If he weren't though... personally, I get the impression Gooma would still be more than powerful enough to take Kuuga down. Fighting his basic forms doesn't seem to take any effort at all for Gooma, so if he was actually trying, the results would probably be the same in the end.
