But he never stops trying to get those things out to his friends. He'll be a little sad if they snap at him, and he knows when they're making fun of him, but he still tries to bridge that gap. He knows how little they care about his alleged girlfriend, and he still goes to them, all excited, when she finally messages him.

And, when Yuka wants to spend the day with him, she asks him to take her to a place that means a lot to him, where he's happy. And he does it! For a first date, he wants to bring her into his world. I think that's pretty sweet and brave of him.
