The weirdest part about that sequence, and maybe the smartest move in editing, is that there's a part they used in the opening credits, with Takumi taking his big serve. When I saw that, I'm like, Oh I Guess Takumi's Some Tennis Ace? Wizard had a whole story about its Rider being a former soccer star, and Agito got some tennis mileage, so it seemed possible to me.

But no! He's awful! You can tell how proud everyone on this show was for that joke, because they sculpted the experience exquisitely.
