Considering both decades have a series I just have no drive to watch (Faiz and Zi-O), they both have their ups and downs.

I guess I was measuring the '00s and the '10s by the amount of the good and bad ones each era gives. From general consensus, the '00s has Kuuga, Agito, Ryuki, Blade, Den-O as the good ones, with Faiz, Hibiki, Kabuto being the middle ones and Kiva & Decade as the bad ones, but the '10s has everything but Wizard, Ghost, and Zi-O (W, OOO, Fourze, Gaim, Drive, Ex-Aid, Build) considered as good ones, and you say about them caring more about story/character in pre-Kabuto? I think those good ones in '10s are commonly described as being good in story/character, so the trinkets don't bother those that much? Obviously the good ones in '00s are on par with the '10s, but if judging by era, I would look by how much the era can pump out.
