As far as I know, the Ultraman discussion thread basically unofficially doubles as the "what are you watching" thread for that franchise, specifically because of how threads like this end up getting a little buried. I think it's the same logic that lead to this site condensing the separate sections of the forum for Rider, Sentai, Power Rangers, and "other" shows into one big group however many years back. Better to have a single reasonably active general place to discuss things than several specific ones that end up chronically under-attended. And poor Ultraman doesn't even get the luxury of stickied threads for each new episode.

...Which is a shame, because Ultraman is awesome, so while we're here, I can at least mention the most recent Ultra stuff I've watched, thanks to Tsuburaya's YouTube channel. They fairly recently finished their weekly uploads of The☆Ultraman, the 1979 animated series that, of course, isn't tokusatsu, but captures the spirit of the franchise really well while seamlessly blending in elements from your typical space opera anime of the time. It's a really underrated show that I've had a ton of fun following over the past year-ish. During the middle of the that, they started uploading Ultraman Nexus too, the back half or so of which I made it a point to catch again every week. I probably don't need to explain why Nexus is good, but it's a show where you can really tell how proud the staff was of the work they were doing, and I've always had major respect for it because of that. It speaks to the passion behind the project that even after getting cancelled with about a quarter to go, the single episode they then had to tie everything up managed to do so in such a satisfactory manner.

...And that's probably why that finale was picked as what will be the very last installment of the "Stay At Home With Ultraman" project Tsuburaya is currently doing. If anyone needs some Ultraman to watch, 10 carefully curated episodes from across the franchise selected for their strong positive messages and general awesomeness ain't a bad way to go about it. Admittedly, I've yet to get around to watching any of it, but right now, four of the episodes are up, with English subtitles and everything!

An episode of Ultraman Max directed by this guy (No idea how that happened, but stuff like this is why I feel bad I haven't watched Max)
