I think someday there'll be a Power Rangers movie that gets that franchise to a higher prominence. There's too much money in it for Hasbro to stop trying, you know? But I think the moment for a MMPR reboot came and went. Anything after this would probably need to be wholly original.

Anyway, just my semi-outsider take! If I'm way off-base, let me know!

Thinking about it now, I think if it they made it less Maze Runner/Hunger Games/Divergent and sprinkle some lightheartedness similar to Shazam, tone down the microwaved Iron Man action figure look while emphasizing the original suit look, keep the actors, add Bulk and Skull, it could have been more satisfactory. I did like the whole "Rita was the former Green Ranger" angle though.
