The three Rangers (Red, Pink, and Blue) are trained by previous Rangers, and they also have an ally who helps them out from time to time. The said ally is kinda bummed that he can't be a Ranger. Jason's son.... Think of him as the most generic guy ever. And for the villains of these season, I would make them nonster who appeared due to negative energy and it's Dino Fury's task to investigate and eliminate the threat.

During a battle, Jason's son and the ally got stuck in fighting monsters while trying to get civilians to safety. Unfortunately the boss (Tankjou's counterpart) is a challenge to Jason's son, and kills him. The ally, seeing no choice, decides to take the morpher and morphs himself into the Red Ranger.

This idea of replacement Red Ranger wasn't really new, hell we basically got it in Lost Galaxy, Time Force, Overdrive and Beast Morphers. But my personal idea is that it's a bait and switch situation. Like all the promotional media didn't say that this new guy will be the Red Ranger, everyone thought it was Jason's son. Put simply imagine Beast Morphers promoting Blaze as the new Red Ranger, but in reality Devon is the real Red Ranger for the show.

You may think "wow that sucks, killing Jason's son" but I would gave him survive and be possessed by Gaisoulg's armor. I'd call him Violet Knight. But later into the show he'll break free from the curse and his armor turns brown, dubbing thee the Bronze Knight.

Also as a fun nod, all the Rangers' names are based on King Arthur. Red Ranger is called Arthur, Blue is Percy, Pink is called Morgana, Green is Gwen (I really want to make the Green female because I prefer the three guys two girls setup) and Black is Lance. Jason's son/Violet Knight is Tristan.

Morgana seems like a bad idea for a name. Maybe a name outside of the Arthurian world would suffice.
