Franchises thrive on success to keep itself alive. To push people who show interest out is a self-destructive move for a fandom (looking at you hardcore Star Wars Expanded Universe fans).

One of my biggest gripes of today's world is that there are some people who claim to be inclusive but actually aren't, and there are people who claim to be tolerant but aren't.

Let us try our best to be inclusive here. At the end of the day were here to watch people in suits shoot colorful bursts of CGI and pyrotechnics at each other.
