It was fun though. It would’ve been cool if the obvious solution to defeating the stretchy monster wasn’t to freeze it since I saw that coming a mile away, but oh well.

By the way, was I the only one to notice the PPAP-reference or did they do that before? I know who the actor is; I just don’t remember them referencing it before

No, they didn’t choose to explain it. Personally, I want to imagine it's something dark they didn’t want to show, like she remembers a dead friend who used to love marshmallows or that she desired to eat them as a child but her abusive parents didn’t let her or something.
