Yeah, good point. He's a kid, so he's not going to think about things like consequences or goals or anything. He just wants to feel good about himself right this second.

I liked how Hajime is clearly trying to protect Kotaro through Kenzaki, by giving Kenzaki the warning, but he's also sort-of being an asshole about not wanting to say he's trying to protect Kotaro. That smile he gives Kenzaki afterwards, though, it's completely the smile you give someone when you're teasing them. Hajime cares! He really cares!
