I know what you mean of course, even with this information they could still easily find a way to bring her back (secret backup or something) but it would be neat if they actually stick to their rules.

Personally I expect that Izu will "overwrite" Azu and we'll have a scene where she dramatically cuts her hair or something.

They already broke that rule a long time ago. The Is Progrise Key exists after all, and if they don't use that one because they either ignore it, like so much other set up and rules right now, or it's a less sentient version of Is, they could get her data out of the Zero-Two key since it somehow turned into it.

Technically speaking, she shouldn't have been running around anyway since she's missing her memory unit since the creation of the key and we all knew how that ended for Was.
