Yeah, but that's the whole point of this story, so it's not like he needs to act that way in the beginning. 48 and 49 are about getting Kenzaki in a place to form the right plan.

Maybe? It's a scene more about how Hajime is ready to die, but Kenzaki isn't ready to kill him.

I guess I just don't think she's so bad. She seems to (generally!) be a good helper at the restaurant. For Missing Ace, I think her change there had more to do with losing another father-figure under mysterious circumstances. Closure matters! When she got it at the end of the movie, she was a lot happier!
