It's pretty hysterical, how when the Generations line decided to incorporate some non-G1 figures, the Studio Series had to switch over to G1 figures. It's like someone's going to kill Hasbro's family if there aren't G1 toys in production. These little moments of having A Fandom From Somewhere Other Than The 1980s get acknowledged, it's so nice. It's actual heartwarming.

I try not to think of the legitimate arguments I saw between people angry that the one non-G1 based toyline was being turned G1 vesus the people who thought that, as a movie based toyline, Hot Rod and Kup deserved to be there to escape the oncoming Beast Wars slaughter.
