No, but, like, it is heroic? That's what Hibiki is excelling at. It's taking these little mundane problems and making them expansive, mythic. Asumu Versus Studying is one of the best fights this show has done.

But it's exactly the same for Hibiki: he can do all that prep with all of these people, but it's just him against a giant crab at the end. (The time limit is probably implied, what with lives at stake if the crab runs into more fishermen or Oni.) Asumu can cram with his friends, get advice from teachers, but at the end it's just him taking the exam. They worked pretty hard to make Hibiki's situation mirror Asumu's!
