And his complete lack of redemption and remorse make him the evil villain that you love to hate. And his most interesting trait is that in a ridiculous twisted way he thinks he's doing the RIGHT thing. That by destroying the Earth and humanity that he can rebuild a peaceful utopia. It makes him such an interesting villain. His drive to die and return over and over make him a fantastic recurring villain.

Without Brajira that show isn't as good. It's still as good, but no where near as. He makes that show. And I think your theory is dead on about him being Seaick. Look at his personality and Hyde's. Both calm, collected, always plotting and planning.
