Yeah. I guess it gets bashed because it's a popular target, rather than based on the show itself.
It's actually a reverse of Gokaiger, which is seriously overhyped and praised because of the first few episodes, despite falling into the crapper shortly afterward (Basco does his hardest to save it, but it was too far gone).

Anyway, I fully intend on watching that movie. Just not sure if it's gonna be tonight or tomorrow
