Scorpius was once humanoid and Scorpina and Trakeena are related! Follow me for this doozy.

Scorpius was originally a scientist on the Magna Defender homeworld who experimented with the Barillian Bugs (from In Space) before opting to become one himself and turning the entire populace into bugs!

He ultimately failed, but aligned with Captain Mutiny in invading the planet to get his revenge (Lost Galaxy didn't completely edit out Mutiny when using Gingaman footage for Defender's backstory; you can see Mutiny laughing in the foreground).

After Magna Defender's world is destroyed, Captain Mutiny's army is broken-up with many swearing allegiance to Scorpius when Mutiny is somehow banished to the Lost Galaxy, hence why Karone has no knowledge of the guy. Another side theory is that there was some overlap between Lost Galaxy and Wild Force given their propensity for saying "3,000 Years Ago"!

Scorpius took control of Mutiny's remaining forces and had a first daughter with one mate: Scorpina, who rebelled and joined forces with Rita and Zedd. Scorpius would also "marry" again sometime later and have another daughter: Trakeena.
