One of my favorite little moments in OOO hands down, and something always stuck with me even from way back in 2011 or whenever. I think what I love most about it is how it's such a stupid, obvious, simple, transparent ploy on Eiji's part... and also completely foolproof. Ankh has unknowingly given his would-be lackey way more leverage than he thought, and Eiji has the autonomy and intuition to start taking advantage of that immediately. It's something particularly fun about those early episodes before they settle into a (relatively) more stable relationship.

Oh man, don't even get me started on the OOO OST! I could literally just start linking tracks all day, because they're all just so great. Amazing battle theme? Maybe you mean this one? But s***, you could mean this one that's apparently a theme for the RideVendors; it's always been a favorite of mine, especially because I believe it plays during the debut of a certain Medal in episode 4. And then there's the stuff that deliberately strays from the ska influence for more impact, like the show's designated "heroic resolve" theme.

And then there's one thing I particular I noticed rewatching the show that I thought really said a lot about the OOO's uniquely varied yet cohesive tone, which is that one of the show's favorite themes for wacky and relaxed moments is also remixed into one of its favorite for somber, emotional scenes. Well, two of them, actually. And seeing the track titles while looking these up to link to, I learned something that'll probably make you very happy – this is apparently Hina's theme! Go figure!

Ooh, have I never mentioned this anywhere yet? Because I totally agree that OOO is the second half of Heisei's version of Kuuga. I think it might even go beyond just the surface level, but I haven't put enough thought into it to really say. Obviously they have different styles and priorities as stories, but also maybe they don't, too? I don't know, but it was a thought that occurred to me somewhere in watching both shows again.
