Yeah, Ibuki's devotion to Kasumi can act as his strength instead of weakness, to have him determined to keep living. Unfortunately a good number of audience take the Shuki role of seeing it as weakness instead, cherry-picking moments when they lose because of it, and citing "determination" part as BS and plot armor. Edginess much?

Probably the part of trying to make Asumu an Oni had its merits here, comparing about living as a monster slayer to protect people, against living to entertain people and make them happy...

From what I catch I don't think that Kiriya's being humbled. The show did had a bit of this before with Kiriya thanking Hibiki and a bit in his farewell to school, but the part in panel theater it's him at one of his worst with him just ruining everything in the show out of sheer spite, without any regard to anyone there. For him being the surrogate of those that only cares about Oni part of the show, this brings to the comment I posted before here, about Todoroki being support and judging Hinaka harshly for working at restaurant. I think those people should change their mentality like this, they feel like tryhard tough guy IMO.

There's also a good number of those that won't and refuse to move on from childhood and the idol you learn from. Probably the bad consequence of that could be shown to further reinforce that point. And the point that you don't need to become kamen Rider to become good people is important to point out yeah. Probably any other Rider shows point out the main character as good by quickly jumping at the call to become a Rider and protect others when they had a chance; their debut.

I also don't understand single bit of why Hitomi? Why she's the one that should be kidnapped and "turned into new servant"? Seems just the usual, it has to be coincidentally someone close to the cast so that the cast can be brought into action.
