That's the thing that gets me about this writer, like I said last time -- he just gets any characters he's given to work with to the extent it really doesn't feel like he's a different writer half the time. This even shows in the SHT movies -- the Imagin are as goofy as ever, the Gokaiger are darlings, he gets Diend more than I could ever imagine anyone getting Diend. Dude's great at this!

I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the potential that Surprise Future scene showed, but if there's one thing Ghost isn't lacking in; it's a superb sense of choreography and a fighting style that's all its own. Even on my first watch when I wasn't enjoying it I was absolutely suckered into its fight scenes, and it really stands out for me when the latter part of Heisei 2 was getting very generic and full with its fight scene choreography.
