Dino and animal sentai mechs tend to always follow the same overall design cues, them using similar base suits with detail changes makes sense since you can't exactly do much else when working with an established formula.

There's a lot you can do. Change the feet on "Daizyujin", for one. Have them be different colors that aren't so close to each other on the color wheel. Make the "Daizyujin" chest piece more "Pterodactyl shield-like" instead of having it look like "Gaoking's" lion chest but red.

Even if you had the actual Gaoking and Daizyujin be these respective colors only (and not the usual five team color mix-up) there's plenty of differences between those two designs to warrant them not being copied so blatantly.
