Indeed they are. Gransazer was an interesting show in that Toho decided to have a sentai-ish toku hero show out of the blue circa 2003. Looking back it kinda felt like the story had pacing issues and having 12 heroes corresponding to each zodiac sign was a too many cooks situation. Despite its flaws I do love how TOHO made the Gransazer's ultimate combiner robot Daisazer a straight-up kaiju-esque robot.

The follow-up Justirizer was what made Kazuki Namioka aka Sid/Kamen Rider Sigurd a known name in the toku genre, and the final season Sazer X was where many familiar faces and voices appeared as heroes; two of them moving on to be Samurai Calibur in SSSS Gridman and Barizorg in Gokaiger, while the other two went on to be Ankh in Kamen Rider OOO and Ramirez/Kyoryu Cyan in Kyoryuger.
