Yeah, I wish I could explain better why Tsurugi being a well-meaning but obstinate nuisance here is any better than when he was doing it a dozen episodes ago. I think you're right, in that it's a combination of her being like Now It's On My Terms from Misaki, as well as just, like... he's so happy to have his feelings reciprocated, and any messes he makes become adorable, like a puppy.

One of my favorite touches in the story is when Kagami's like Why Are You Going On A Date At The End Of The World, and Misaki just sort of shrugs. It's a good answer! It's like, world ain't over yet! Why not go on a date with someone cute? It's a refusal to treat this apocalyptic story as anything other than a bump in a very long road, and I sort of love that. Misaki deserves whatever bit of happiness she can grab.
