It is interesting that the X-Swordman on the cover is styled like a samurai instead of like the comic hero. And it's a left-slot WRB, so I wonder what mythical creature it's based on... I know Japanese folklore has a whole class of youkai based on living objects (tsukumogami), are any of those based on swords or samurai armor?

and i'd argue that the samurai is more based around a westerner's idea of what a samurai would be like, like the silver samurai from the marvel comics
