I can respect that, since more people probably like darker/mature stories compared to the toy-centric Heisei shows, or just wildly new takes in general. That's fine with me because franchises need to explore new territory and experiment to survive, that's true for things like Final Fantasy, Godzilla, Ultraman, and others. Body horror and horror in general aren't my thing, but I really did like Shin Kamen Rider, along with the other 90's films, if I had to pick a favorite, I might pick between J or ZO, but Shin was an interesting take on the early Kamen Rider formula, which I really enjoyed.
