Backstory: though he's quiet by nature, he's actually a very cheerful and kindhearted swordsman, so many members of Sword of Logos find it confusing that the Sword of Death chose him as its wielder. Some think it means he's doomed, others think it means he's more dangerous than he appears. He's almost always accompanied by a gloomy butler named Igor, who has watched over Shikeiken Shinigami for generations and addresses him as "Lord Edge," to which he always responds "it's just Eiji!"

Backstory: the legendary ancient swordsman who founded the Northern Base and was known for kindness towards children, it's unknown whether he was inspired by Santa Claus or the stories of Santa were inspired by him! In his day, he was a mighty warrior, and when he got older he used the Sword of Ice's power to cryogenically freeze himself to slow his aging. He spends most of the year sleeping in ice beneath Northern Base, but every winter he awakens to do battle with his sworn nemesis, the Freezing Ebenezer Megid.
