I mean, not a ton going on in it otherwise? The stuff with Airi continues to be the same sort of distraction the cafe scenes were for most of Ryuki (and the DenLiner already has a meal car! The weird inclusion of the Airimirers… I mean, I hope it’s going somewhere, because right now I find it pretty dull.

One of the problems of Ryotaro and Momotaros tag team is that, with Ryotaro being weak, Momotaros has to deal with the limitations of Ryotaro body (and Hana's abuse for that; doing the job as a Rider), which probably a clever handicap. Ryotaro of course needs treatment for his body in that condition, which yeah probably what's the scene for in this episode.

The big guest-star for the week (Sid from Gaim!) is another neat look-in at the concept of partnerships, where it’s less about mutual respect than it is about leveraging someone else’s skills for your benefit. Yamagoshi is a hilariously underachieving scumbag, and it’s smart to follow up the tragedy of Tetsuo with an Imagin host who is maybe less sympathetic. I guess Yamagoshi shows that, people who aren't doing well with money aren't always saints. They can be the one who actually do crooked stuff, not only the rich ones. Yamagoshi has been suffering from his failure and has to be reduced to a street musician with shortage of money, and he had to resort to stealing to earn more, and also asks for a bodyguard to save his own skin from the cops, which he found in possessed Ryotaro, who gains super strength if Momotaros inhabits him.

I think a big part of the success of the Ryotaro/Momotaros story in this episode is down to how uninvested they both are in the series-arc stuff so far.

Momotaros at this episode really adds up to more of the Ryotaro's bad luck, with him possessing Ryotaro's body, his more vicious approach makes Ryotaro take the blame for the police, and him using Ryotaro's purse to buy something. Finally Ryotaro does criticize Momotaros, by not wanting to listen for someone who uses up somebody's money. Momotaros has to be kept on a leash by both Hana and Ryotaro. But of course, Momotaros is the only way for Ryotaro to pack a punch, including in Rider Form as Ryotaro would be stuck in a joke Plat Form. I guess yeah, I can't think up ways for Ryotaro and Momotaros' driving goal here. Ryotaro will help anyone in need, but he didn't reveal yet if he has a goal like even something such as wanting everyone not to suffer, or wanting to be free from his bad lucks. What's best the story got so far for Momotaros here as his goal for me here is that he wants Ryotaro to make a wish so that he'd not be stuck (he's an Imagin that got carried along with Ryotaro, but his sanjou is the same as the other MOTW Imagins, who possess a person and makes a contract for their wish, dunno what would the other Imagin do if they have completed the contract). Hana is the one with motivating force yeah currently, but it'd be spoiler to talk about it further.

-Hana’s so good in this one. Another actor would maybe come off as nagging, where she’s being too cruel to Momotaros, but he both totally deserves it (there is no sense of personal space when it comes to him and Ryotaro) and never seems too offended by her anger. The shot of Momotaros getting caught by Hana, going “The nosy girl!", and then immediately getting punched in the face… fantastic. I didn’t mind it the other way (which still gets used for fight scenes and the like), but I love the confidence of the show trusting in the actor’s performance to sell the changing circumstances.

-There’s another dude on the DenLiner! He would not like a coffee to go! I’m assuming it’s the same guy we saw briefly at the end of Episode 2, but either way: certainly more to come on that thread.

-I 1000% do not care about the Airimirers. At least there’s only two of them now, hovering around a disinterested-but-polite Airi. Maybe in another couple episodes there’ll be zero!

-The Owner scene is great, if only for the adventure-genre message of Please Don’t Sweat The Details Right Now. It’s asking the audience to put character ahead of plot, and that’s completely my taste in Kamen Rider. I appreciate his outlook on storytelling!

Another actor for Hana? But if you talk about Momotaros deserving it, won't the one who decides if it's cruel or nagging is who Hana is putting an abuse to, instead of Hana herself? You ignore my reply before for this part: "Nosy girl" in Japanese is "Hanakuso onna", and it contains "Hana" in it. As if "Hana" is a short for "Hanakuso onna" as full name! And as others have said before, yeah, Takeru Satoh has a lot of props for pulling the different personality for Ryotaro and every Imagin that possesses him at once, and he's one of the biggest KR stars internationally. Den-O is definitely considered lacking in plot yeah, but of course for people it wouldn't matter and it's not anything bad for the series, and especially for someone like you.
