This is probably my favorite of the recruitment arcs and a lot of it boils down to the fact that it's centered on what's probably my favorite of the Den-O Imagin (love Momotaros, but I like the new guy just a smidge more). Yeah, and it really works narratively for Axetaros to show up in an episode that's partially addressing how much Hana hates the Imagin, which is a lot. And, like, the show has been supporting that viewpoint as valid! The two "heroic" Imagin are a hot-tempered monster who can't stop almost getting Ryotaro killed, and consummate liar who gets offended when you suggest he has non-ulterior motives. They have been living down to her expectations! So having a new Imagin who protects his host, who has self-imposed boundaries on his actions... perfect time for that dude to show up!
