Kintaros is based off the Japanese folktale Kintaro. Kintaro is in general a VERY strong child, almost a hybrid of Hercules and Paul Bunyan. His notable iconography is the red bib with the kanji 金 written on it. He was known to be raised by a yokai, kick oni ass, wrestle wild bears, befriend animals, and carries an axe. Addendum. One thing that makes him stand out is he talks in a Kansai dialect, a dialect commonly found in the Western region of Japan collectively called the Kansai region. Osaka and Kyoto to name a few are part of the Kansai region. And he doesn't say his finishing attack's name until he has defeated his opponent. Also Kintaros is suit-acted by Jiro Okamoto, veteran suit actor who grew into prominence with Kamen Rider Black and RX, and later for Kamen Rider went on to play Kamen Rider G4, Kamen Rider G3 Mild, Ouja, Leangle, and Caucasus to name a few. He had a cameo as the first dojo master that gets defeated in episode 9, the middle-aged man with short grey hair.
