That's fair! She's weirdly normal, for an episode where an imagination monster from the end of time decides to patch up a preteen girl's relationship with her dad. Just this girl who's committed to her career in a way that maybe robbed her of the chance for a normal childhood?

I just maybe wish she was weirder, or meaner, or something-er, because I feel like her normalcy works against the tone of the rest of the episode. Everyone else is in some wacky slapstick investigation that they are bungling hard, and she's just trying to keep her shit together and not feel haunted by her father's rejection?

I guess we'll see how the finale plays out tomorrow!
