I guess the reason for that is because if I recall correctly they addressed in passing through the news that it is just like what Kaito's parents were theorizing prior to their abscense of a possible realm/world other than their own, so maybe that helped ease the sudden drastic change that was brought to them until the Tojitendo goons showed up?
