Yeah I agree, it seems even places like Discotek who had done anime DVD's in the past have realized this as well since they've opted to stop with DVD releases. Instead going for the SD on BD treatment when it comes to more older releases.

DVD's are a nice alternative, but for a series like Zero-One that's real recent, it shouldn't be the only choice. Especially since Blu-Ray's are absolutely viable for that kind of quality. Not to mention I feel like transitioning to Blu-Ray's isn't as expensive today as it was back in the day. Especially since a lot of game consoles nowadays have the player built in.
