It doesn't come off that way to me, I guess? It felt more like Yatsude gave them something to mull over, which allows them to put their frustration with him to one side for now since there's more urgent things going on. Zyuran even snarks about Gaon's attitude when they join the fight, while also noting the same way Kaito did that Gaon's word choice implicitly included himself in the group. I don't think anyone actually reached a real understanding, and I also don't think the show was trying to imply that they did.

Again, not really a huge step in any direction so much as the show's way of elaborating on the group dynamic some more, presumably to pave the way for the actual meaty development down the line.
