Okay, in-story, the reason some of Build's combos make no sense is because Soichi was trying to confuse Evolt, but in reality, how the heck did the creators choose what bottles went together, or even what bottles to have in the first place? Were they just pulling words out of a hat or something?

Maybe it was an attempt to keep the bikes relevant? But it seemed to backfire in that regard, since his bike form being CGI meant they used it even less.
